Sweet Sounds
I haven't really decided what I'm going to do with this page yet. Maybe I'll scribble about what I'm listening to at the moment, what I think is good, and what's crap.

I guess if you're even remotely interested in what I think, you'll have to come back and see.

I can tell you though, that if you spend any time on the net, and also have the intellectual capability to recognize that the phrase "alternative" has been co-opted by bloated, song-of-the-moment, sponsor-controlled corporate radio stations, and wish that there was still a place where you could hear new, independent, alternative music, you should check out 3WK. (They are an internet-only broadcaster.)

Why the plug? What do I get out of it? Nothing but the satisfaction of spreading the gospel of excellent music. Just click on the 3WK button in the bottom right hand corner of the window... no, down there. On the right.

You'll need RealPlayer to listen to it, and if you don't have it, you can get it here free. RealPlayer Basic download
If you like what you hear on 3WK (and you should - or I'll beat you up), you can buy most of the music you hear at 3WK, from Insound. They have an excellent selection of music that's hard to find in the big CD stores. And yes, if you go through this link and buy something I will make a bit of brass. What's wrong with capitalism? Buy it at Insound!
If you're Canadian and a patriot ... actually, if you're a patriot, you can't be Canadian. Mutually exclusive and all that. Anyway, Chapters has a decent selection of CDs, and you don't get slammed with the exchange rate or shipping. Chapters.ca
You can also help my friend Mark write a song for his band Jive at his website. Check it out, maybe you'll become famous... Lennon/Mcartney... Poirier/Your name here... Jive
